When you sign up you’ll gain access to an our online course. This can be done in your own time over a 6 week period, and will help you learn the skills necessary to run successful classes, whether it be for a business, club, or just because you want to learn more about the sport!
The course covers everything from teaching basic skills to others, to structuring classes, to marketing your venture. You will be given regular assignments to test your learning and allow you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge.
The course works desktop, tablet and mobile so you can study wherever and whenever suits you!

We allow 6 weeks for learners to complete the course, submit their assignments and receive their certificates.
The contents of the course for both the Independent Plan and the Team Cani-Fit plan are the same.
You will be a certified leader with Cani-Fit, the original and leading canicross training company. There are no governing bodies for canicross, as it is not recognised as an official sport, therefore there are no relevant academic accreditations with any course.
The level of support you receive will vary depending on your chosen plan.
With either plan, you will be supported throughout your training by our online team. We will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and can help offer support and advice for completing assignments.
Those on the Team Cani-Fit Plan will receive ongoing support to help them market and sell their classes after graduating from the course.
You should have some experience with canicross prior to taking the course.
If you have no previous canicross experience, we would recommend coming along to a class (if you are based in Scotland) or picking up our Beginners Bundle to get you familiarised with the basics.
This course is for anyone who is passionate about canicross and wishes to teach and motivate others.
The course is ideal for anyone wanting to set up their own business venture
No, you do not need to be a PT or dog trainer. However, you should be willing to further your knowledge when it comes to fitness and dog training/behaviour.
The majority of our leaders have daytime professions unrelated to canicross.
No! While you need to have a reasonable level of fitness, you do not need to be the fastest to be a leader.
Leading classes is about more than just running ahead of everyone else; it’s about managing people, creating progressive plans for your runners and being able to cater for those who are both slower and faster than you.
