Cani-Fit is a business established in 2011 and is the UK’s original dog and human fitness company. We offer canicross classes and coaching services throughout Scotland, as well as running events, hosting virtual challenges and offering training for aspiring canicross leaders.

Since its foundation, Cani-Fit has gone from strength to strength. We have grown from one passionate individual introducing the sport to others to a bustling business with a team of close-knit class leaders.

You can find out more about Cani-Fit on our main site, our Facebook or our Instagram.

Our canicross leader course is designed to give you the knowledge and the skills to be able to instruct others in the sport in a structured and safe way. We been running the course in person since 2014, but are bringing it online to give those not local to Scotland the opportunity to learn with us!

It is an online learning program covering everything you will need to know, all the way from marketing your classes, to kitting people out, to planning and running successful classes.

You will learn through a combination of written and video content, and will be given assignments for you to demonstrate your skills and learning.

You can find out more about the course here.

This course is for anyone who is passionate about canicross and wishes to teach and motivate others. It is ideal for anyone wanting to set up their own business venture or club.

You should have some experience with canicross prior to taking the course.

If you have no previous canicross experience, we would recommend coming along to a class (if you are based in Scotland) or picking up our Beginners Bundle to get you familiarised with the basics.

No, you do not need to be a PT or dog trainer. However, you should be willing to further your knowledge when it comes to fitness and dog training/behaviour.

The majority of our leaders have daytime professions unrelated to canicross.

You will be a certified leader with Cani-Fit, the original and leading canicross training company. There are no governing bodies for canicross, as it is not recognised as an official sport, therefore there are no relevant academic accreditations with any course.

We allow 6 weeks for learners to complete the course, submit their assignments and receive their certificates.

We have two plans currently available; the Independent Plan and the Team Cani-Fit Plan.

The Independent plan is suited to those who wish to operate without any ongoing help or support with their club or business.

The Team Cani-Fit Plan is ideal for those who want to join our existing team and benefit from help and support, marketing materials, regular promotions on social media and access regular online business clinics.

If you’re unsure which would suit you best, feel free to get in touch and we can discuss your needs.

The Independent Plan is a one-time payment of £465.

The Team Cani-Fit Plan costs £325 for course access, then 6 weeks afterwards affiliate fees are £25 per month on a yearly contract.

No! You can take the course from anywhere in the world.

One of the drawbacks of running our face-to-face leader course in Scotland is that it is out of reach of most international canicrossers.

We brought our course online to make it accessible for those both in the UK and beyond.
