ABOUT CANICROSS COACHING
I first found canicross in a book eight years ago and thought it looked fun. I began running my dogs to help them to get fit and stay healthy, and as a way of exercising two dogs who struggled with listening when they were off lead!
Since then I have used canicross and cani-hiking as a way of staying fit and also as a way of keeping my dogs healthy and happy. Over they years we have participated in park runs, weekend races and the National Championships series run by the sports national governing body.
Our biggest achievement was running in the European Championships for Team GB, even though we were probably one of the newest teams there at the time.
My aim is to help highlight to others what a great experience canicross is and to encourage more people to give it a go. I have been a teacher for 14 years and have also trained as a human run leader with England Athletics. I am currently beginning my human run coaching alongside my strength and conditioning coaching.
